Our game servers are mainly 1U dell power edge servers. Example box dual dual core 3GHZ woodcrests (the fastest made right now), 4GB ram and 15K rpm scsi drives in hardware redundancy.

Our network is fully redundant and it is guaranteed at 99% up time. We have BGP, multiple tier 1 routes.

How long will it take to get my game server set up?
We strive to have the basic game server loaded and online in 1 hour. There may be times when it takes longer depending on load and time of order. Generally orders after 12am est are set up the next morning.

How do you offer such cheap prices?
I own my servers. I don't rent them causing inflated prices. After all, If I can own a server for a third of the price of renting, it translates to lower overhead and great prices. This also allows me to set up new servers very quickly. I don't have to order a new rented server and then wait for the provider to set it up for me. When you subscribe to a server with me, you deal with the owner.

How do I customize and control my server?
We have an incredibly easy web interface for dealing with files and configs in place and ftp access (standard windows ftp clients and IE should work fine.) You will have NO trouble manipulating your servers. You can at a push of a button start or stop your server from any machine with a web connection and modern browser.

Can we have more than one person with access to the server files and configs?
Absolutely no problem. Have who you want access your game server. All we need to do is assign them a sub-user in the gamepanel and then give them access to what you want them to have.


Do we get our own ip and game port?
The answer is, yes with the exception of some sale priced (ie $1 a slot servers) gameservers to save costs.

What about refunds?
Subscriptions are month to month. I have to pay for the bandwidth a server uses up front and based on peek usage and can not refund partially used subscriptions. The exception to this is the servers that are eligible (generally hl1 and 2 games have trials except in texas on internap) for a free trial. Just order off the site and cancel before the time limit is up and owe nothing.

What about mods?
We allow you to change your configs almost without limit unless they effect other servers (E.G. running plugins with coding errors, looping the server,hlguard, css deathmatch, nosteam server mods.) These modifications are on the client we can not run the servers for people nor do/teach basic admining of the server (unless you get a managed server package or pay a small fee for the install.) The exception to this rule is we do not allow you to change the player slots above what they ordered and crucial server variables that deal with fps or tics and rates. Only 4 bots maximum for cs,cz games and 4 bots max for hl2 games and dod 1.3 and they must have navs. Pingbooster programs other than the ones installed are not allowed.

PLEASE remember ANY use of the rented items for something other than their intended purpose (ie file sharing, running commands on the server, modifying ordering code) is forbidden. This will result in termination of your server with no refund. Any files, information given via email etc will be considered the property of AFGS and we shall dispose of them as we see fit do not give us information you wish to keep private without informing us of that fact we will then make sure only the subscription number is used for identification and no information other than that will be given to any request for information. Requests for privacy must be send via mail registered and include a password you wish to use for any information request to be considered. If no arrangements are made for a codeword information may be given out to the wrong person so PLEASE arrange a codeword with us and keep the digitally signed response from us once arranged it may be needed at a later date. (we can not keep installs after the subscription expires so please don't let the subscription expire if you want to keep the install.)

Can you run such and such mod?
Most likely yes. If it has a dedicated server program we will try to come to terms with you to run it.

My server has a problem, I am down, oh its back now...never mind. PLEASE contact us as soon as you see a problem. If we are unaware of a problem we can not fix it.

The server can be canceled at any time by either party. If canceled by the client the server will run until its last paid day. If canceled on our end for technical or other reasons we will issue a refund for unused time.

Any modifications which affect the other servers (bots with no navs, plugins with errors, hlguard, steambans) on the computer are not allowed.
Web hosting is for clan sites, no file, music sharing allowed. No illegal content allowed. Please remember IM chat support is a live person, please conduct yourself accordingly. IM chat may be blocked at our discression.

How often do you reboot your servers?
We reboot every two days at 8am. Game servers are restarted daily at 7am. This ensures you the best game experience possible by freeing up resources that may not become available without a reboot. If this is a problem please let us know and we will try to figure out a better time.

Do you accept echecks?
Generally yes, but echecks over $30 on an initial order (usually second and on are ok) will normally have to clear before the server is set up.
